Our Story: A Taste of Louisiana's Oyster Heritage

In 2006, lifetime Louisiana residents, Scott Ancar and Jennie Voisin Ancar, embarked on a remarkable journey by founding Jennie V’s Seafood, LLC.  Their venture into the oyster industry was deeply rooted in their family heritage and personal expertise.

Scott Ancar is a pillar in the oyster industry bringing over 35 years of oyster harvesting and farming experience.  Jennie attributes her expertise and insights to her upbringing within a family steeped in the deep-rooted traditions of the oyster industry, spanning four generations.

Together, they solidified their commitment to delivering the finest oyster products to their customers. Jennie V’s Seafood, LLC is a shining example of Louisiana’s thriving oyster culture and is proud to welcome customers to its first storefront at 4836 Hwy 311 in Houma.
